About Mosaic Church

Mission and Vision

At Mosaic Church, we are a growing community in southern Louisville whose mission is to worship God, grow in Christ, share God's love, and serve others. We believe that church is not just a building but a family of believers who come together to support and encourage one another. Our Vision is to be Christ centered and mission focused as a growing, nurturing community. Whether you are new to the faith or have been a believer for years, we welcome you to join us on this journey of faith.

Beliefs and Values

As a church, we believe in the Trinity - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God and our guide for living. We also value community, prayer, and serving others. At Mosaic Church, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels loved and accepted.

History

In 2003, five churches joined together to form a new and vibrant worship community.  Each congregation, unique and steeped in a different worship style and service emphasis, came together and formed a cross-cultural faith community.  We became “Mosaic” United Methodist Church to capture the fabric and spirit of this new faith community.

In May 2004, after a time of prayerful discernment, the Lead Team of Mosaic proposed selling all properties and purchasing a new location to build God’s new church.  In May 2005, approximately 19 acres including a barn and 2 houses, were purchased at 8008 St. Andrews Church Road, where we are today. By the fall of 2005, plans for the building began to develop along with many ministries which continue today. The first service in our new facility was in August 2008, with the Dedication in October 2008.
